SHE WALKS IN BEAUTY - Lord Byron
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climbs and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and brights
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
That smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind of peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Same meter as The Lark Ascending. And a beautiful poem :D.
Niceee :) You read alot of poems dont you??
I've never read The Lark Ascending... I'll have to look it up.
But yes, I do read a lot of poetry. Usually when I'm feeling down, which half the time doesn't make sense, but it makes me think.
I have this one memorized. Haha.
The Lark Ascending is a poem by George Meredith, that was turned into a stunning violin piece by Ralph Vaughan-Williams. Read the one and listen to the other :D.
